Tell us about yourself as an artist/musician. What do you do?

I’m primarily a bassist, although I dabble in guitar and vocals from time to time. I also write songs sometimes too but they usually aren’t very good.

How long have you been making music, and what sparked your interest in music?

I’ve only been into music for the last 4 years, and making it, at least making decent music, only the past year. I got into music because of bands like Korn, Slipknot, and Cage The Elephant. What started my journey with actually playing music was a breakup in high school.

Tell us about your time at NOMU so far. Do you have a favorite memory or experience during your time here?

My time at NOMU so far has been pretty fun. Has its ups and downs, but I think overall it’s definitely an experience I’m glad that I’ve, well, experienced haha. My favorite memories have to be the days when me and the rest of So-Decide were writing our first songs together.

When you're writing or playing music, what influences constantly inspire you as a musician/artist (specific artist, film, art piece, etc.)?

Honestly, it depends on what I’ve been listening to. At my core, anything I write comes from my love for Korn. But sometimes I take inspiration from heavier bands, even pop, rap, and hip-hop sometimes. I like to write songs with rhythm, I think that stems from my heritage, growing up in a Mexican family.

What are your plans or goals in your life now concerning school, music, or just personally, any other pursuits?

I want to produce music, whether it’s my own, or for other people. A dream of mine is to own a music studio.

Are there any hobbies outside of music that you're interested in?

I don’t have many, I collect things sometimes. I do have general little passions like video editing. I grew up wanting to be a YouTuber so I taught myself how to edit videos, even took a class in high school for it too. Film in general is pretty interesting to me.

Is there anything you’d like to add, anything you want to tell whoever might be reading this interview, or anything you want people to know about you?

I’d like to maybe give a bit of hope to people who might be reading this, although I don’t know if anyone will. If they do though, I wanna say that anything is possible. I started with absolutely zero musical talent and now I’d say I’m mediocre, but I’ve definitely grown a lot. It’s never too late to do the things you want to do. It just takes time.
