Tell us about yourself as an artist/musician. What do you do?

As an artist, I'm in a band, Asignado Norteño with my brother. There are four players, and I play the Bajo Quinto, which is a ten-string. I also play the twelve-string guitar, tuba, and electric guitar.

How long have you been making music, and what sparked your interest in music?

I started when I was seven years old. My brother sparked my interest as he played the accordion, and I wanted to be there with him. At first, I wanted to play the drums, but I noticed that the drummer was always in the back and not in the front with the other artists.  I thought about it, and I decided to play the guitar instead.

Tell us about your time at NOMU so far. Do you have a favorite memory or experience during your time here?

I’ve been here for almost two years. My favorite memories are both recording in the studio and practicing in the practice rooms with my friends.

When you're writing or playing music, what influences constantly inspire you as a musician/artist (specific artist, film, art piece, etc.)?

When writing music, the artists that influence me would be Danny Felix, Slipknot, Three Day Grace, and I Prevail. There’s a mix of Mexican with overall heavy music.

What are your plans or goals in your life now concerning school, music, or just personally, any other pursuits?

I plan to be working hard to get a full-time job so that I can save up to make a studio. Hopefully, I hope to also get into the realm of live recordings for bands. Overall I just want to work in the music industry and get my hands in there.

Are there any hobbies outside of music that you're interested in?

I’ve been doing a lot of airsoft.

Is there anything you’d like to add, anything you want to tell whoever might be reading this interview, or anything you want people to know about you? Do you want to say anything to the people?

No.

I decided to do something interesting for the website where the last artist I interviewed can ask you a question. The last person I interviewed was Nick Hyacinth and the question was, "What is a positive or negative thing in your life (whether grand or not) that you take for granted?”

I would say overall not spending enough time with my family because I’ve been busy with school and work. That’s been taking most of my days, so I haven’t had much time to spend time with them.

Keep in mind; you also get to ask the next artist a question, so what would you like to ask the next artist that I interview?

What is your favorite cartoon? (See Moonguia’s interview for the answer to Irvin’s question)
